Choose your rack size, add equipment, and label each device. Create or copy multiple racks, download your rack diagram, and estimate installation costs, all without an account.
Choose your rack, add equipment, and download your layout. Drag a block onto the rack. Or select a block, then click an empty U. Click a placed device to edit and save its details. Select a block to place it. U1 is at the bottom. Click a device to edit it. Drag a device onto an empty U to move its bottom edge; use Starting U (bottom) for keyboard or touch placement. Vertical PDUs and cable managers mount beside the rack. Drop them here or anywhere on the rack; they do not use numbered U spaces. Get a finished copy of your layout to share or use for installation. Exports include DeployNation and our Rack & Stack website address. PNG images show the address as text; image files cannot contain clickable links. Per-rack option counts racks with equipment. Covers an agreed equipment list and cabling plan. Budget estimate, not a binding quote. These are alternative pricing methods, not combined charges. Equipment purchases, travel, after-hours, taxes and special costs are excluded. Crew, lifting needs and scope require confirmation. Download your plan and attach it to your quote request. This planner does not send your project automatically. A rack unit is 1.75 inches (44.45 mm). A common full-height rack is 42U; 24U and 27U are smaller options, and 48U and 52U offer more space. This planner supports custom heights from 1–60U. Rack-unit height does not establish usable depth, weight capacity or mounting compatibility. Start with generic copper and fiber patch panels, switches, routers, firewalls, servers, storage arrays, UPS units, battery packs, horizontal and vertical PDUs, KVM consoles, shelves, blank panels, cable managers, cooling panels and custom devices. A 24-port patch panel commonly uses 1U; a 48-port panel may use 1U or 2U. Always check the actual hardware. Weights vary with model, disks and batteries. Presets include editable rough planning weights; these are not manufacturer specifications. Verify every weight before installation. Devices of 3U or larger and all UPS/battery presets require a weight. Blank weights remain unknown and are never treated as zero-weight equipment. Vertical 0U accessories do not consume horizontal rack space. Save project downloads editable JSON; open it here later. Print / PDF includes all racks and an equipment schedule. Excel elevation creates a native XLSX workbook with numbered rack-unit rows, equipment blocks, notes and connection details. Download image (PNG) exports the current rack. PNG displays our website address but cannot contain a clickable hyperlink. Leave airflow and service clearance, place heavy equipment low, and verify rack, rail, shelf, floor and wall ratings. This front elevation reserves each U once; rear details describe accessories, power feeds and cable endpoints, but do not reserve separate rear mounting positions or calculate power and cooling.
